Yes.  The park is open daily for leisure picnicking.  For major picnics such as companies, organizations, etc., contact the event division at (214) 670-8402.

18. How deep is the Lagoon?

Approximately 15 feet.

19.  Is fishing allowed in the Lagoon?

No.  The Lagoon is a protected natural area that also serves as a laboratory for the Museum of Nature and Science and the Aquarium.

20. How can I become a vendor at Fair Park?

21. Can I set up a concession stand on the park?

No.  Fair Park has licensed concessionaires.

25. When was the Cotton Bowl built?

The Cotton Bowl was built in 1930 and known as Fair Park Stadium.  It was renovated under the direction of architect, George Dahl for the 1936 Texas Centennial.  There have been additions to the Cotton Bowl in 1948, 1949 and 1993.

26. How many people will the Cotton Bowl seat?

72,000 for American football and 68,000 for soccer.

27. How large is playing surface of the Cotton Bowl?

Approximately 9,600 square feet.

28. Are there restaurants in Fair Park?

The Old Mill Inn Restaurant is located in Fair Park and open year-round.  For hours of operation call (214) 426-4600.  The IMAX Café (214) 428-5555 is located in The Museum of Nature and Science.  The Crystal Terrace and Broadway Café (214) 565-0591 are located in the Fair Park Music Hall and operate during the Summer Musicals, the Dallas Opera season and other special showings.
