IMPORTANT NOTICE

As of October 1, 2009 - All new residential and commercial construction MUST follow Dallas’ Green Building Ordinance.

Effective immediately - All multi-family projects submitted for review must provide an addressing system (numbers only).

Effective immediately - All documents submitted for review must have a minumum text size of 3/32" and a maximum drawing sheet size of "E" (36" x 48").

The Permit Center is a one-stop-shop for information and services related to the construction and development process in Dallas. Staff assistance is available from the Building Inspection Division, Development Services Department, Water Department, Fire Department and Environmental and Health Services Department.

Consultation hours:  Monday thru Friday, 2pm to 4:30pm or by appt.
