Workers’ Compensation Program

The workers’ compensation section oversees the administration of injury claims and develops strategies for prompt return to work. The claims are filed and paid in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI), Workers’ Compensation Division. Annual audits are performed to ensure that the claims are in compliance with City policies, contracts and TDI. Other components of this program include but not limited to wage supplementation benefits eligibility and limited duty placement.
