Gas Exploration and Drilling in the City of Dallas

As of March 2008, there have been three Specific Use Permits (SUP) for gas drilling approved by the City Council.  These permits are located in Southwest Dallas.  Please view the Map of Gas Well Permits in the City of Dallas (Adobe PDF) to see the location of the approved SUPs for gas drilling.

While the City Council has approved the leasing of city-owned property, the drilling locations have yet to be approved by City Council through the SUP process.  Go to the on city-owned leasing for gas exploration web page for more information.
