Immunization Program

Immunizations are provided for infants, toddlers, school-age children, and adults. These immunizations include diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, mumps, measles, rubella, hepatitis B, polio, and Hib. A $3 fee per clinic visit per child is charged but can be waived. Medicaid is accepted. Call the immunization help line at (214) 670-0519 for scheduling information. Immunizations for foreign travel are available from the Dallas County Health Department, (214) 819-2162.

Planning and Evaluation

The primary responsibility of this section is to develop and maintain a preventive health surveillance system and a comprehensive data system for the Department of Environmental and Health Services. The unit plays a major role in the assessment, policy development, and assurance functions of the department with periodic assessments of health status and needs of citizens, program planning and implementation, and program monitoring and evaluation.
