Landmark Districts

Lake Cliff Historic District

Dallas' 15th historic district consisting of Cliff Park constructed in 1888 and a portion of Lake Cliff Park neighborhood circa 1920. Approximately 187 structures are in the neighborhood part of this district. In 1906, Charles Mangold and John Zang built an amusement park in Lake Cliff Park to attract potential home owners and increase property values. The park structures were designed by the noted architectural firm, Lang and Witchell.
