Sanitation Services - Once Weekly Service

Together, we do it better!Welcome!
We need your help – and your opinion.

The City of Dallas wants to make sure you get excellent services at the lowest possible cost.  One way to do that is with Once-Weekly Garbage and Recycling Service.  More than 85% of cities across the nation pick up garbage once a week.  Dallas is one of the few cities that continues to provide twice weekly service - and the cost of service has been increasing.

Some areas of the City already have Once-Weekly service, and more are planned.  In February 2009, the City will convert neighborhoods in northwest Dallas (Phase 2) to Once-Weekly service.  The neighborhoods in northeast Dallas are scheduled to be converted to Once-Weekly in Phase 3, beginning in February 2010.  Remaining areas of the City have not yet been scheduled for converstion to Once-Weekly, but will be.

YOUR OPINION, PLEASE: Here’s where we need you help.  Please take ONE MINUTE, particularly if you live in Phase 3, and let us know if you think you’re ready for Once-Weekly service.
