Assistant City Auditor III
Bob Smith, CPA, joined the Office of the City Auditor in November 2015 and serves as an Assistant City Audit III for the Office. He is responsible for conducting audit and attestation engagements and has worked on a variety of performance audits including follow-up audit, construction contract management, animal services operations, permit fee revenues, and annual revenue estimates.
Prior to joining the Office of the City Auditor, Mr. Smith worked for three years at Smith, Dukes & Buckalew LLP performing financial audits related to finance and banking institutions, non-profit organizations, and government funded entities requiring single audits. He also prepared individual and corporate tax returns. In 2011, he accepted a position in the financial reporting department of a private company specializing in automobile dealership finance and insurance department training and product management.
Mr. Smith has a Bachelor of Business Administration – Accounting from Spring Hill College. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
