Kimberly Bernsen Williams joined the Office of the City Auditor in March 2018. She conducts a variety of performance audits and attestation engagements in accordance with Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards and other professional standards. Mrs. Bernsen Williams enjoys working as an auditor due to its nature of ensuring that the City of Dallas' activities are effective, efficient, and protected against fraud, waste, and abuse.
Before joining the Dallas Auditor's Office, Mrs. Bernsen Williams worked for the City of Austin's Office of the City Auditor. There she worked on a variety of performance audits; including audits on street cut repairs and the City's investment in workforce development programs. Prior to her time with the City of Austin, Mrs. Bernsen Williams worked at CitySquare, a Dallas non-profit; where she coached youth aging out of foster care on how to obtain and maintain employment and move towards self-sufficiency after turning 18. She also contributes experience in government relations and community development from her time at Buckner International and the City of Bryan, respectively.
Mrs. Bernsen Williams received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from Texas A&M University, College Station and her Master of Public Affairs from the University of Texas at Austin. She is also a member of the Association of Local Government Auditors.
