Assistant City Auditor III
Lee Chiang joined the Office of the City Auditor in January 2008. He has worked on a variety of performance audits, including sales tax border analysis, city vendor and delinquent property taxes, account payable disbursements, Dallas Zoo transition, fleet maintenance, fleet fuel usage, Office Depot contract compliance, and Dallas Fire-Rescue fleet maintenance.
Before joining the City of Dallas, Mr. Chiang was a software engineer in the telecommunication and oil and gas industry for 20 years. With his software engineering and information technology (IT) experience, he also manages the dedicated computer servers and performs software application support for the Office of the City Auditor. In addition, he provides data analysis assistance for the Fraud, Waste, and Abuse division.
Mr. Chiang received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Transportation and Communication Management from National Cheng-Kung University, Taiwan, in 1982. In 1986, he came to Texas and received his Master of Science in Computer Science in 1988 and his Master of Business Administration degree in 1991 from Texas A&M University, Commerce. Mr. Chiang is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and a Certified ACL Data Analyst.
