Assistant City Auditor IV
Thandee Kywe has been with the Office of the City Auditor (Office) since December 2006 and currently serves as an Assistant City Auditor IV. She has managed performance, financial, and compliance audits; attestations; and other special projects in accordance with applicable professional standards. She is also responsible for training and developing staff. Additionally, she assists the Office's executive management team with: (1) identifying risks with the City of Dallas for development of the annual audit plan; and (2) strategic and operational planning for accomplishing the Office's mission, vision, and values.
Before joining the City of Dallas, she was a compliance auditor at TrailBlazer Health LLC. for two years.
Ms. Kywe graduated from the Notre Dame of Maryland University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Computer Information Systems. She completed her Executive Master of Business Administration in Global Leadership from the University of Texas at Dallas in May 2016. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and a Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM). Ms. Kywe is actively involved in professional associations such as Association of Government Accountants (AGA) and Association of Local Government Auditors (ALGA). She currently serves as: (1) an AGA Regional Vice President for the South-Central Region; and, (2) a mentor in the ALGA Mentoring Program. She is a former President of the AGA – Dallas Chapter. Also, she completed an ALGA peer review program for the Orange County Transportation Authority.
