​CIS provides the information technology that enables the programs and operations of City Departments to deliver their respective missions in an efficient, effective, and secure manner through the use of information technology solutions and services.


Our Divisions

Communication and Information Services (CIS) is an internal services department serving the Information Technology needs of the City of Dallas. CIS has five divisi​ons, including: ​

 

Business Technology Services
Dudley Griggs, Assistant Director (I)

Responsibilities include: Business Application Development and Support, Business Requirements Analysis.

Business Management Services
Shelia Robinson, Assistant Director

Responsibilities include: finance, billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, procurement, contract management, Project Management Office (PMO). If you are interested in leasing tower space on City of Dallas property, please contact Real Estate.

Architecture, Innovation and Information Management Services
Girish Ramachandran, Chief Technology Architect

Responsibilities include: Innovation & Transformation, Technology Strategy, Technology Governance, Enterprise Architecture, Enterprise GIS, Enterprise Data Management, Information Management and Web / Mobile Technologies.

IT Security and Compliance Services
Tony Aguilar, Assistant Director

Responsibilities include: IT Security, eDiscovery, Disaster Recovery Planning, and Change Management / QA support.

Technology Infrastructure Services
Chester Helt, Assistant Director

Responsibilities include: Data Center Operations, HelpDesk, Desktop PC and Server support, Voice and Data Network Support, Radio Network Communications, E9-1-1 / 311 Telecommunications.
