The Smart Dallas program is led by the City of Dallas and utilizes an ecosystem of partners and the citizens themselves to formulate and implement large scale Smart Dallas initiatives. The Smart Dallas program attempts to define what Smart City means to Dallas and how the City plans to organize towards aligning itself in delivering smart services that are effective and efficient in order to improve the citizens’ quality of life.
What is a Smart City?
Dallas defines Smart Cities as forward looking, progressive and resource efficient focused on providing a high quality of life to all sectors of the community.
Smart Dallas Framework
The purpose of the Smart Dallas Framework is to enable better planning, managing and governing of City services in a sustainable way to maximize efficiency. Based on the current and future challenges that we face, the Smart Dallas Framework helps address our core strategic priorities, and at the same time leverages technology, data and intelligence to deploy a scalable, sustainable Smart Dallas approach.
The Smart Dallas Roadmap is a plan for implementation of initiatives that meet the objective(s) and goal(s) of one or more Smart Domains. The Roadmap is a living document; the initiatives in the plan are updated periodically and new initiatives are added. The initiatives currently being planned and delivered can be seen in the Smart Dallas Roadmap available for download.
