The West Dallas
Multipurpose Center is a community center with a variety of meeting rooms and
facilities that are available to the public and the community of non-profit
organizations in service to the residents of West Dallas. Reservations for meeting rooms and facilities
are accommodated on a first come, first serve basis.
The Meeting Room Reservation form must be completed and submitted to be considered for a reservation. Reservation confirmations will be made by phone or email within 48 hours of the submission of a reservation request. All reservations made outside of the normal operating hours of the WDMC will be required to pay for City of Dallas Security to open and close the building. This hourly rate for the WDMC security is $46.26 with a minimum of two (2) hours required. This fee is payable by check in advance of the reservation.
Rooms and facilities available for the community and nonprofits serving the West Dallas Community include:
West Wing Activity Room 1 and Activity Room 2: These are adjoined rooms that can be separated or remain connected as one large area, These rooms each have a capacity of 50 people fpr a combined total of 100 based on the room arrangement. The Activity Rooms are available on weekdays (M-F) after 1pm and all day on weekends. Use of the Activity Room (s) outside of normal operating hours will require payment of a fee for security to open and close the facility.
Conference Room 1: Located off the main lobby, this conference room has a conference table that will accommodate 12 to 15 people around the table. This conference room is available during normal operating hours.
South Wing Conference Room 2: Located in the South Wing, this conference room has a conference table that will accommodate 10-12 people around the table. This conference room is equipped with a conference call phone system and a monitor for presentations. This conference room is available during normal operating hours.
South Wing Training Room: Located in the South Wing, this training can be configured in a variety of ways depending on the format of the meeting/training session. Depending on the configuration of the room and the session expectations, the room can accommodate 20-30 people. This training room has a monitor for presentations and a dry erase wipe board. This training room is available during normal operating hours.
North Wing Conversation Room: Located in the North Wing, the conversation room is designed to be a comfortable space. With a loveseat and 2 chairs, this room is appropriate for conversations between 2 and 4 people. The conversation room is available during normal operating hours.
Lobby/ Atrium: The main lobby of the facility, this space can be set up in a variety of configurations based on the session or presentation. The space will accommodate about 150 people depending on the configuration. Use of the Lobby/Atrium outside of normal operating hours will require payment of a fee for security to open and close the facility.
Tables, chairs, and podium available: The West Dallas Multipurpose Center has both circular and rectangular tables and chairs to be used to configure meeting and training spaces based on the needs of the presenter. The WDMC also has a podium and microphones available for use. Please advise of room set up specifications on the Meeting Reservation Form when submitted.
