‚ÄčTrack 4: New Developments

On November 7, 2017 City of Dallas voters approved Proposition J, a $20 million bond to fund transitional and permanent supportive housing to target chronic homelessness, rapid rehousing for the elderly, disabled and families with children and day centers for seamless wrap-around services.

Program Details:

  • Implementation of $20 million Bond Program approved by voters
  • Creation of 1,000 housing units over the next 3 to 5 years
  • Creation of Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) criteria in partnership with Citizen Homelessness Commission
  • Coordinate with the Dallas Area Partnership to Prevent and End Homelessness to identify private investment strategies
