Racial and economic inclusion are integral to Dallas' housing growth. Accordingly, through the Dallas Housing Policy 2033, the City seeks to continue to reduce disparities that disproportionately impact historically disadvantaged communites by providing quality affordable mixed-income housing initiatives across the City.

Seven Pillars of Housing Equity

Dallas Housing Policy 2033 has seven pillars of housing equity that weave together the strategies guiding implementation, leverage, internal and external partnerships, and revitalizes nieghborhoods through housing development that meets the needs of all Dallas residents.

​The Department of Housing & Community Development manages and tracks all applications and projects submitted through its various programs and reports summary numbers by type of program. These summary numbers and a memo discussing context and other accomplishments are provided to the Housing and Homelessness Solutions Committee each quarter and will be made available online. In general, measures reported for all programs focus on tracking workloads and accomplishments at all stages of each program’s process rather than an active pipeline.
