The Human Resources Department recently announced a new employee engagement committe. In an effort to provide more
information about the committee, and how it will work separate and apart
from Employee Advisory Councils (EACs), we would like to provide you
with the following information:
- The newly
is not meant to detract from nor to duplicate the efforts of the Employee
Advisory Councils (EACs). The scope of the Employee
Engagement Committee will be to review offerings, processes, programs,
and materials for Human Resource related matters such as health benefits,
wellness initiatives, communications, recognition, etc. as well as provide
insight into what employees need and what their preferences may be as it
relates to those topics. This information will be coordinated between
the committee and the leadership of Human Resources.
- The purpose of the Employee
Advisory Councils (EACs) is to assist in
gathering and leveraging employee input and they may meet with the City
Manager to improve the workplace. The
scope of the Employee Advisory Councils (EACs) is to strengthen communications within the
organization by promoting an inclusive environment and establishing a
positive diverse workplace to address emerging employee concerns.
The focus is to look within their department to identify and address
matters. The Employee Advisory
Councils (EACs) partner with external
stakeholders and process owners to address/resolve matters.
