HR Consulting Services is an internal division of Human Resources. The Managers, Supervisors and employees of this work unit are focused on providing our departments with services and solutions related to:
- Employee Relations
- Coaching and Counseling
- Mediation and Conflict Resolution
- Regulatory, policies and procedures guidance and interpretation
The work unit consists of a core group of HR Generalists who serve as the primary business partners between Human Resources and City of Dallas partner departments. They provide expertise in a variety of human resource functions such as employee relations, organizational/employee development, succession planning, compensation, staffing and recruitment (Executive and Labor).
In addition, the Generalist will consult with partner departments in evaluating, developing and implementing work place practices and procedures to ensure effective and consistent human resources management citywide.
Generalists also consult and/or partner with other departments such as Risk Management, City Attorney’s Office and Civil Service to help resolve employee relations matters.
