The Office of Cultural Affairs is advised by an eighteen-member Cultural Affairs Commission appointed by the Dallas City Council. Each Council member appoints one member; there are also three at-large members and one Chair that is appointed by the Mayor. Each Commissioner serves for a two-year term and can serve up to four consecutive terms.
The Cultural Affairs Commission generally meets the third Thursday of each month, except in July and December. Meeting times and locations are subject to change.
