When is a permit required for a Neighborhood Market?

  • A permit is required to host a Neighborhood Market in the City of Dallas.  Operating an outdoor public market on private or public property is prohibited by Dallas City Code without a Neighborhood Market permit.

  • At least 30% of the vendors participating in a neighborhood market must sell produce or other food items. Otherwise a Special Event Permit may be required for your activity.

  • Neighborhood Market permits are valid for one year from the date of issuance.
