The purpose of Dallas City Code Chapter 42A is to facilitate the promotion of temporary outdoor activities, including special events, neighborhood markets, the Dallas Farmers Market activities in Shed 1, and streetlight pole banners within the city, as defined in this chapter. The city's overall goal is to encourage activities that benefit the city, stimulate economic growth, and provide a vibrant, active community for all citizens. The city gives priority to established special events.
