The Office of Risk Management provides insurance requirements for entities doing business with the City and verifies the insurance is in compliance with the requirements. The unit works very closely with vendors, insurance agencies and other City departments to ensure the identified insurance requirements remain in force for the duration of the contract. Insurance requirements for special events and construction projects also fall under the jurisdiction of Risk Transfer/Contracts.
Risk Transfer follows Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) regulations when establishing insurance requirements and all insurance companies are verified for TDI approval.
