The Planning and Urban Design Department (P+UD) partners and works with agencies such as neighborhood coalitions, neighborhood organizations and the North Central Texas Council of Governments to create a vision for specific neighborhoods or areas of the City. P+UD provides technical support and as a liaison with other City departments to assist organizations in crafting a plan.
Neighborhood Area Planning (current)
Buckner Terrace Area Plan
As the Buckner Terrace neighborhood Association website indicates, Buckner Terrace is located about 5 miles East of Downtown Dallas and is gateway to the City of Dallas on two major highways, 30 and 80. Strategically located on Interstate 30, allows for easy access to almost every major highway/interstate in the Dallas Metroplex.
The Planning & Urban Design department is currently working with the Buckner Terrace Neighborhood as they draft an area plan for the City to use as a guide as development occurs in the neighborhood. To find out more about this area planning process, contact Amy Albright.
