The City of Dallas Department of Sanitation Services announces modified garbage and recycling collection schedules for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s holidays, impacting all Sanitation customers. Customers may place carts out for collection on their adjusted collection day. Carts must be at the appropriate collection point no later than 7 a.m. on the scheduled collection day.

Thanksgiving

• There will be no collections on Thursday, Nov. 28, in observance of Thanksgiving.
• Thursday routes will be collected on Friday, Nov. 29, and Friday routes will be collected on Saturday, Nov. 30.
  

Christmas and New Year’s

• There will be no collections on Wednesday, Dec. 25, or Wednesday, Jan. 1, in observance of Christmas and New Year’s.
• All garbage and recycling collections starting Wednesday will be delayed by one day:
• Wednesday routes will be collected on Thursday
  
• Thursday routes will be collected on Friday
• Friday routes will be collected on Saturday
  

Landfill and Transfer Stations

• McCommas Bluff Landfill and all City transfer stations will be closed on Nov. 28, Dec. 25, and Jan. 1.
  
• Fair Oaks & Westmoreland Transfer Stations will have limited public hours on Saturday, Nov. 30, from 7–9 a.m.
  
• Fair Oaks & Westmoreland Transfer Stationswill have limited public hours on Saturday, Dec. 28, from 7–9 a.m.
  
• Fair Oaks & Westmoreland Transfer Stationswill have limited public hours on Saturday, Jan. 4, from 7–9 a.m.
  

Brush and Bulky Items

• Brush and bulky item collections will occur as scheduled during these weeks.
