Originally the home of cotton and oil magnate Sheppard King, the King Mansion is typical of the opulent mansions of the 1920's in Dallas. It has a 16th century Italian and Spanish colonial influenced design, and its two-story main structure is characterized by a tower, a formal patio, verandas, and arcades.
