The Dallas Department of Transportation and Public Works is studying a portion of the Abrams Road corridor in northeast Dallas.

The study will identify improvements that advance mobility and safety for all modes of transportation and prioritize those improvements for near-term and long-term completion. The study area includes Abrams Road between Richmond Avenue and Beacon Street.

Project Scope

The study has three main phases:​​
(1) assess existing c​onditions; 
(2) analyze alternative designs for the corridor; and 
(3) finalize recommended transportation improvements. 

Provide Input

TPW, along with Council Districts 14 and 9, hosted a public meeting on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Lakewood Library, 6121 Worth St., in Dallas.
