JUPITER ROAD CORRIDOR STUDY

Project Overview The Dallas Department of Transportation and Public Works (TPW) is studying the Jupiter Road corridor between Garland Road and IH 635 in northeastern Dallas. The purpose of the study is to identify improvements that will advance mobility and safety for all modes of transportation along Jupiter Road, and will prioritize those improvement projects for near- and long-term completion. The project has three main phases: (1) to assess existing conditions; (2) to analyze alternative designs for the corridor; and (3) to finalize recommended transportation improvements.
Provide Input Public meeting: A public meeting was held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Martha Turner Reilly Elementary School, 11230 Lippitt Ave., to discuss proposed traffic improvements. Public comments will be accepted through May 5, 2026.		Other Improvements While the City works on long-term plans for the future of Jupiter Road, there also are near-term safety improvements both scheduled and in progress. These improvements, both planned and recently completed, include ongoing pavement marking maintenance and lighting upgrades.
