Page Content
The Dallas Transportation & Public Works Department (TPW) is studying a portion of Lovers Lane in north-central Dallas. The purpose of the study is to evaluate potential improvements, connect with recent upgrades along Lemmon Avenue and in University Park, and to make the corridor safer for all roadway users.

The City will complete this project in coordination with Dallas County.

Project Scope

The study area includes Lovers Lane from Lemmon Avenue (at Love Field) eastward to Lomo Alto Drive. The study encompasses all forms of transportation with the goal of identifying and prioritizing near- and long-term projects to enhance mobility and safety along the corridor. The study will also assess ways to improve access to schools, parks, and businesses.

Results will include a list of short- and long-term improvements that have been vetted by the community. The study, which kicks off in 2026, will take approximately one year to complete.
