Paying for Your Parking Ticket 

By Phone:   Call 1-866-247-1951 and follow the prompts.

By Mail:   Mail check or money order to the address listed on the payment coupon included with your Notice of Violation. Write your citation number on the face of your check or money order to ensure it is credited correctly. 

In Person:  Oak Cliff Municipal Center, 320 E Jefferson Blvd, Room 100, Dallas, TX 75203          
 Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm (except weekends and holidays). 
Payments are accepted in cash, check, money order, Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express

Online payments will not be available from 1:45 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. CST due to nightly processing and maintenance.

If you need more time to pay a parking ticket, call the Customer Service Center at 1-866-247-1951 to request an extension. A one-time 10-day extension will be given if you call on or before the due date posted on the ticket. Customer Service Center hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.

Contest a Parking Ticket

Not Registered Owner
If you never owned the vehicle listed on the citation, please request a hearing or call the Customer Service Center for additional information at 1-866-247-1951.

If you no longer own the vehicle and tickets are issued after you sold it, please complete Option A or Option B (whichever applies to you):

Option A
 Mail us a copy of the ticket or warning notice, and a copy of the Bill of Sale.
Option B  
 Mail a copy of the ticket or warning notice, and a copy of Transfer Letter from the Texas Department of Transportation.

 Hearing and Appeal Process
 The Adjudication Office offers administrative hearings to citizens wanting to contest civil parking and/or Safelight (red light photo enforcement) citations, and to citizens whose vehicles have been booted. Each citation has an administrative hearing date printed on it. Prior to the close of business on this date you may contest your citation in one of the following manners:

In Person:  You may appear in person on or before the administrative hearing date printed on your citation during the hours of  8:30 a.m. through 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday (excluding holidays). The hearing will be held while you are there. The process takes about 30 to 40 minutes and requires one visit.

Write a letter indicating why you believe the ticket should be dismissed. Be sure to include your name, address, and telephone number, so the hearing office can contact you if additional information is needed. Include a copy of any proof that would support your case. The letter must be received on or before the administrative hearing date indicated on your ticket.

Appeal Process:   If you are not satisfied with the results of your Adjudication hearing, then you may appeal your case to the Municipal level through the Department of Court and Detention Services .

Appeal Process for Parking, Red Light, and School Bus: Anyone found liable for a parking, red light , or school bus citation has 30 Days from the file date on the Hearing Record to appeal to Municipal Court located at 2014 Main Street, Dallas TX 75201. To appeal, you must submit the following Items:

  • A completed appeal form
  • Copy of the Hearing Record
  • Copy of the citation
  • Pay a $15.00 dollar Appeal Fee to Municipal Court (if the ticket is dismissed the fee will be refunded)

Parking Ticket Refunds

Refunds for parking ticket fines take approximately 30 business days. To inquire about a possible refund on your parking ticket fine or a delay on receiving your refund on your parking ticket fine (not the filing fee); please call 214-671-3789 Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Items required for a refund on your parking ticket fine (not the filing fee):

  • A copy of your hearing or court dismissal record
  • Proof of ticket payment (register receipt, online payment receipt, bank statement or credit card invoice with personal information marked out, etc).

Find a Ticket Number

Search online for ticket information at  Search by the ticket number, the notice number or license plate number. For assistance, call the Customer Service Center, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. thru 5:15 p.m., at 1-866-247-1951 and give the license plate number of your vehicle.

If your ticket  does not exist in the payment system and it was recently issued, it may not be entered into the parking database. Please check back in 1-2 days,  if the ticket still cannot be found, please  call the Customer Service Center at 1-866-247-1951.

Booted, Towed or Impounded Vehicles

Vehicles on the Public Right of Way

Vehicles found in the City's public right of way with outstanding parking violations are subject to being immobilized. Any vehicle parked on the street for longer than 24-hours, causing a traffic safety hazard or booted for unpaid parking fines are subject to being towed and impounded at the City Auto Pound without notice.

Vehicles on Privately Owned Public Access Fee Based Lots and Garages

Texas state legislation authorizes public access parking lots and garages that charge a fee to issue a citation or boot a vehicle for non-payment. To make payment arrangements and/or have the boot removed, contact the parking company using the information provided at the location.

If you feel your vehicle was wrongfully booted or cited and would like to file a formal complaint Boot or Tow dispute contact 3-1-1 to start a "Paid Lot/Garage Wrongful Booting/Citation Incident" investigation with City's Transportation Regulation Division. Private parking lot owners are allowed to place boots on patron's vehicles for non-payment. Contact the parking company to have the boot removed.

Boot Removal 

 How to remove a boot from your vehicle once your citation has been paid.

 A citizen can pay the citation to get the boot removed by phone at 1-866-247-1951  or in person.

Once paid in person , the cashier will  call parking dispatch at 214-671-9973 to have them dispatch a parking officer to the location to remove the boot.

If paying by phone, call Dallas 311 to have the boot released. The 311 operator will ask you for your name, phone number, and vehicle license plate number. Once this information is received, the 311 operator will call parking dispatch and provide them with the information. A parking dispatcher will verify payment and dispatch a parking officer to the location to remove the boot.

Towed Vehicles - If your vehicle was towed for outstanding parking tickets, the vehicle will not be released until the following items are paid:

  • boot release fee(call parking ticket customer service at toll free 1-866-247-1951)
  • wrecker fee (call Dallas Police Autopound at 214-670-5116)
  • vehicle storage fee (call Dallas Police Autopound at 214-670-5116)
