Project Overview

The Dallas Department of Transportation and Public Works (TPW) is studying the South Second Avenue corridor between South Fitzhugh Avenue and U.S. 175.

The purpose of the study is to identify improvements that will advance mobility and safety for all modes of transportation along South Second Avenue, and will prioritize those improvement projects for near- and long-term completion.

The project has three main phases: (1) to assess existing conditions; (2) to analyze alternative designs for the corridor; and (3) to finalize recommended transportation improvements.
