Permits

Neighborhood Block Party Requirement and Permit
Block party permits are available for temporarily closing streets in a single family residential area. The City of Dallas does not charge a fee for a block party permit. Please contact the Department of Public Works for an application.

Block party permits will not be granted where multi-family or commercial properties are adjacent to City streets. However, multi-family or commercial property owners may obtain a special event permit from the City of Dallas Special Event Department at 214-939-2701.
