The Department of Transportation is responsible for providing safe, effective, and efficient mobility improvements and enhancements for the City of Dallas roadways.
The department designs, the City's roadways, mobility plans, bicycle program, traffic signals, traffic control devices, street lights, automated red light camera enforcement, and parking programs.

The Red-Light Camera Program has been terminated effective June 1, 2019.
Governor Gregg Abbott signed House Bill 1631 into legislation prohibiting the use of red-light cameras in the State of Texas. Effective immediately the City of Dallas is no longer operating the Red-light Camera Program.
All citations dated before June 1, 2019, are still valid and will be processed for payment.
