​​​​​​​The Dallas Department of Transportation and Public Work​s hosts public meetings to provide information and gather public input on current and future initiatives that impact transportation planning, traffic safety and mobility in Dallas. Public meetings hosted by external agencies are posted with links to their respective transportation initiatives.

Shared Dockless Vehicle Program
Rule Changes

TPW present proposed amendments to the City's Shared Dockless Vehicle Program during an in-person and online public hearing on April 16, 2026, at the L1FN Auditorium at Dallas City Hall. Download an​d review a copy of the presentation​. Public comments will be accepted at DDOTPlanning@dallas.g​ov​ through April 27, 2026.


Community Crosswalks Engagement Survey​

The City of Dallas Office of Arts & Culture​, along with TPW, will host a series of engagement sessions. The talks will help develop guidelines for using public art in shared spaces such as sidewalks and streets to enhance neighborhood identity.​ Click here to answer a survey and share your input about ways to incorporate public art. Public comments will be accepted through April 30, 2026.


Jupiter Road Corridor Improvements (Vision Zero)​

TPW hosted an in-person meeting on April 7, 2026, at Martha Turner Reilly Elementary School, 11230 Lippitt Ave., to discuss potential transportation safety improvements along the Jupiter Road corridor between Garland Road (Texas 78) and IH 635. This street segment is on the high-injury network (HIN), according to the city's Vision Zero initiative. For project information and to complete a survey to submit public comments, visit the Jupiter Road Corridor Study page​. Public comments will be accepted through May 5, 2026.

Upcoming Meetings​

​Dallas Streetcar Study

Council District 7, along with TPW, will host an in-person meeting to discuss potential expansion of the Dallas Streetcar from Downtown Dallas into Fair Park. A meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at MLK Recreation Center, 2901 Pennsylvania Ave., Dallas, TX 75215. ​Cli​ck here to complete a survey ​on the Dallas Streetcar system and potential expansion.
