The Dallas Department of Transportation and Public Works hosts public meetings to provide information and gather public input on current and future initiatives that impact transportation planning, traffic safety and mobility in Dallas. Public meetings hosted by external agencies are posted with links to their respective transportation initiatives.

Input Opportunities

McCommas Boulevard Corridor Study

TPW hosted an in-person meeting on Oct. 20, 2026, to discuss traffic safety needs along McCommas Boulevard and nearby streets between McKinney Avenue and Skillman Street. Click here to view a presentation about the study area and to answer a survey. The survey will close on Nov. 20, 2026.

Garland Road Vision 2.0

TPW and the Dallas Department of Planning and Development hosted two open-house meetings (Sept. 21-22, 2026) to launch a community-led planning effort to develop a vision for the Garland Road corridor's future. The corridor study will identify opportunities for improvements that make the road safer for everyone, that reflect neighborhood character, and that will guide future public and private investment. North Beckley Avenue Corridor Study

TPW will host an online meeting to launch the North Beckley Avenue corridor study for the area between Singleton Boulevard and Twelfth Street and adjacent streets. This is a Vision Zero corridor. The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m., on Monday, Nov. 9, 2026. Click here to learn more about the North Beckley study. A meeting link will be provided.

Second Avenue Corridor Study

TPW will host an in-person launch meeting for the South Second Avenue corridor study for the area between South Fitzhugh Avenue and U.S. 175. This is a Vision Zero corridor. A meeting has been scheduled for 6 p.m., on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2026, at the South Dallas Cultural Center, 3400 S. Fitzhugh Ave., in Dallas. Public Hearing Notice

Harry Hines Multimodal Improvements Program

This notice advises the public that the City of Dallas and the Texas Department of Transportation will be conducting an online virtual public hearing on the proposed project with an in-person option. The virtual hearing will consist of a pre-recorded video presentation in English and Spanish and will include both audio and visual components. The presentation will be posted online by Thursday, November 5, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., and will remain online for at least 15 days. To view the virtual public hearing, go to the following web address at the date and time indicated above: https://dallascityhall.com/departments/transportation/Pages/harry_hines_improvement_project.aspx. If you do not have internet access, you may call Ryan Wagoner at (214) 507-4443 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, to ask questions and access project materials during the project development process.

Additionally, the City of Dallas and TxDOT are providing an in-person option for individuals who would like to participate in person instead of online. The in-person option will be held in traditional public hearing format. In-person attendees will be able to attend an in-person presentation by the City of Dallas staff, review hard copies of project materials, ask questions of staff or consultants, and leave written comments or provide in-person verbal testimony. The in-person option will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Arlington Park Recreation Center at 1505 Record Crossing Road, Dallas, Texas 75235.

The virtual public hearing and in-person option will be conducted in English. If you need an interpreter or document translator because English is not your primary language or you have difficulty communicating effectively in English, one will be provided to you. Attention: Kristopher Johnson. Written comments may also be submitted by email to kristopher.johnson@dallas.gov. All written comments must be received on or before November 23, 2026. Additionally, members of the public may call (800) 753-6383 and verbally provide testimony from 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 5, 2026, until 11:59 p.m. on Monday, November 23, 2026. Responses to written comments received and public testimony provided will be available online at https://dallascityhall.com/departments/transportation/Pages/harry_hines_improvement_project.aspx once they have been prepared. City of Dallas FY26 Title VI (Non-Discrimination) Program Compliance Plan

The City of Dallas gives public notice of its policy to uphold and assure full compliance with the non-discrimination requirements of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and related nondiscrimination authorities. Title VI and related Nondiscrimination authorities stipulate that no person in the United States of America shall on the grounds of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability, be excluded from the participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.
