The Dallas Department of Transportation and Public Works hosts public meetings to provide information and gather public input on current and future initiatives that impact transportation planning, traffic safety and mobility in Dallas. Public meetings hosted by external agencies are posted with links to their respective transportation initiatives.

Input Opportunities

Abrams Road Corridor Study

TPW, along with Council Districts 9 and 14, hosted a meeting on June 18, 2026 to discuss existing conditions and receive comments for potential transportation safety improvements along Abrams Road between Richmond Avenue and Beacon Street. Visit the project information page to review the June 18 presentation, then complete the survey before July 19, 2026.

Upcoming Meetings

Military Parkway Corridor Study

TPW will host an online meeting to update the public on an overview of proposed transportation improvements along Military Parkway between Forney Road and Buckner Boulevard (Loop 12). The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 3, 2026. An online link to the meeting will be made available.

Preston Road/Douglas Avenue Pedestrian and Signal Improvements Project

TPW will host a public meeting to discuss proposed transportation safety improvements along Preston Road from Northwest Highway to Walnut Hill Lane and along Douglas Avenue from Colgate Avenue to Northwest Highway. The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m., on Thursday, Aug. 6, 2026, at Preston Royal Branch Library, 5626 Royal Lane.

Malcolm X Boulevard Corridor Study

TPW, along with Council District 7, will host a meeting to discuss alternatives for improving road safety and prioritizing improvments along Malcolm X Boulevard between Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Elsie Faye Heggins Street. The meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 10, 2026, at Park South Family YMCA, 2500 Romine Ave. Details are available here on the Malcolm X Corridor Study project information page.

Title VI Notice

City of Dallas FY26 Title VI (Non-Discrimination) Program Compliance Plan

The City of Dallas gives public notice of its policy to uphold and assure full compliance with the non-discrimination requirements of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and related nondiscrimination authorities. Title VI and related Nondiscrimination authorities stipulate that no person in the United States of America shall on the grounds of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability, be excluded from the participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.

Any person who desires more information regarding the City of Dallas's Title VI Program can contact its Title VI Program Coordinator, Chris Graves, at the information noted below.

Any person who believes they have, individually or as a member of any specific class of persons, been subjected to discrimination based on race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability has the right to file a formal complaint. Any such complaint must be in writing and submitted within 180 days following the date of the alleged occurrence to:
