Introduction

The Bicycle Advisory Committee (BAC) was a key action called for in the Dallas Bike Plan passed on May 28, 2025. The primary roles of the BAC are to to advise the City and champion the implementation of the Dallas Bike Plan. The BAC is a 24-person committee made up of 14 Council District representatives, one for each district, and 10 appointees from local advocacy groups and key city departments. Initial appointees to the committee were made for a two-year term.

Council District Representatives applied for their position and were scored by Transportation and Public Works staff of their abilities to carry out the duties of the BAC.
