Dallas was certified as a Bronze-Level Bicycle Friendly Community on January 28, 2025 by the League of American Bicyclists. This certification represents a commitment from the City of Dallas, local bicycling advocates, and bicycling ride groups to improve bicycling conditions for all people who bike through investments in bike infrastructure, bike education programs, regular bike events that promote and encourage people to choose biking, and pro-bike policies.

Each applicant that applies for the Bicycle Friendly Community program receives a report card that considers input from residents via a public survey about cycling in Dallas. The report card provides recommendations on how cities can improve and become more bicycle friendly. View the report card here: Dallas Texas BFC Report Card
