RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for over 1,600 employees and a budget of $1.2B, Ms. Lowery is the chief executive of one of the largest water utilities in the nation. Under her leadership the City of Dallas embraced the One Water Concept focusing on management of water, wastewater, and stormwater into a single municipal department.
Dallas Water Utilities provides water, wastewater, stormwater services including storm drainage and flood control services to more than 2.6 million customers in Dallas and 27 surrounding cities. Ms. Lowery is also responsible for developing new water resources, continuing infrastructure upgrades throughout the community, and building regional partnerships.
PROFILE
Ms. Lowery has over 30 years of public service experience in the water utilities. She began her career in December 1991 as a computer modeling analyst in the Water Planning Division of Dallas Water Utilities. Ms. Lowery held various positions within the department before being appointed to her current position of Director of Dallas Water Utilities.
