Dallas Community Foresters

Small Community Forester Emblem.pngDallas Community Foresters are trained volunteers who are dedicated to the preservation, maintenance and expansion of a healthy urban forest in the Dallas community and region.

The mission of the Community Forester Program is to care for, maintain and expand the Dallas Region Urban Forest through education, outreach and tree planting programs.

Dallas Community Foresters complete a thirty hour training class which is a combination of classroom instruction and field training.  Training classes are offered annually. 

Community Foresters will have the opportunity to volunteer thru:

*Community Education

*Community Outreach/Volunteer Events

*Community Tree Plantings

The opportunities will be diverse and may include school programs, civic group presentations, large and small Environmental events, or leading other citizens in planting.
