GREEN BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT: Bank of America Plaza has been recognized as the first ever Platinum Certified Green Businesses in Dallas. 


BANK OF AMERICA PLAZA: To reach Dallas’ highest level of green business recognition, Bank of America Plaza documented and earned high marks in the following areas: leadership and policy, waste reduction, energy efficiency, water conservation, transportation, and—perhaps most important—education.


WHAT IS GREEN BUSINESS:

The City of Dallas Green Business Certification is a free service offered to businesses to assist them in “going green”. The Green Business Certification program recognizes businesses that prevents waste, incorporates recycling, and promotes reuse, reduce, and composting in their business operations. Any business who supports sustainability efforts can be recognized through the Green Business program.

WHO CAN APPLY:

Any business in Dallas that incorporates green practices and conserves resources can apply to become "Green Business Certified". These types of businesses include: Multifamily Properties, Hotels, Manufacturing Companies, Distribution Centers, Warehouses, Restaurants & Bars, Barbershops, Office Buildings, Data Centers, Hospitals, and other businesses.

 

BENEFITS OF BECOMING CERTIFIED:

Being a Green Business is smart for business. Businesses, who earn a Green Business Certification,  are more likely to save money,  benefit the environment, and have opportunities to be recognized for their efforts without any costs to certify.
