The Office of Environmental Quality and

Sustainability (OEQS) Talks and Engagement

Our department strives to give the environment and our natural resources in Dallas a voice. Long before the pollution enters our water ways or the Trinity River, we hope to remind you to keep it clean Dallas and dispose of all pollutants properly. Did you know that 54% of the fresh water that enters Galveston Bay comes from the Trinity River and all of that water passes through North Texas and our big city?

We like to speak with all Dallas residents and businesses.  Reach out to us us through the Event Form on the Home Page and let us know how we can help.  Below are a few programs and types of engagements we offer through our divisions:  Air monitoring, Air Compliance, Brownfields Programs, Comprehensive Environmental and Climate Action Plan (CECA), Stormwater, Water Conservation, Urban Agriculture, and Zero Waste, just naming a few of them.

Partnerships help us amplify our voices on behalf of the planet.  In this photo, the OEQS team joined with GreenSpace Dallas' summer interns to mark storm drains in Bonton.  Go teams!
