​Information

​The Single Family Rental Registration Program was approved by the City Council on September 28, 2016 and commenced on January 1, 2017. It requires an annual registration and renewal of rental properties (single family homes, duplexes and condominium units In Dallas. The program requires the City of Dallas to conduct a comprehensive premise, external and internal inspection every five years.

Program Requirement Checklist

The following are required of Single Family Rental Properties before beginning the application process:

Registration and renewal fees are $43 for each rental property such as the following:

  • Single Family Residence

  • Duplex unit

  • Condominium Unit

* An owner who enters into a written lease shall, upon the occupant's request, provide the occupant with a written lease in the occupant's primary language, if the primary language is English, Spanish, or Vietnamese*
