Consumer Health Variance Application

​Information​ 

A variance establishes special exceptions for ordinance criteria under certain conditions.

All fees must be paid on the day of the appointment.  Fees may be paid by:

  • Check or money order made out to City of Dallas – Consumer Health

  • Credit or debit card

  • We do not accept cash.

​Variance Application


 

To apply for a variance you will need the following: 

  • Completed Variance Application                             
  • Variance Application Fee $591.00
  • Provide a copy of the food establishments Texas Sales & Use Permit
  • Food Establishment Permit must be current

DOG VARIANCE

The variance to allow dogs on restaurant patios is no longer required due to Texas Senate Bill 476.  The Senate Bill can be found here.

*Inspection of the establishment will be  scheduled and conducted.  Based on the inspection, a variance will either be issued or denied.
