License and registration Holds

DPS / Omni (Driver's License Hold):

If you are unable to renew your driver's license, your outstanding case may have been reported to the Department of Public Safety in accordance with Chapter 706 of the Texas Transportation Code. Until all citation(s) are resolved, you will not be able to renew your license if reported to this program. The City of Dallas Municipal Court will cease to send new driver's license holds for citations issued after November 1, 2021.

Within ten (10) business days the hold is lifted if you have already resolved your case(s).

As of December 1, 2021, the City of Dallas Municipal Court no longer participates in this program.
