City of Dallas Title VI Nondiscrimination Policy

The City of Dallas is committed to compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 49, CFR, part 21, and all related regulations and directives. No person shall on the grounds of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, age, or disability be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any city program, activity, or service. 

Additionally, the City of Dallas expands its efforts toward non-discrimination by adhering to Executive Order 12898, Federal Actions to Address Environmental Justice in Minority Populations and in Low-Income Populations, and upholding Executive Order 13166, Improving Access to Services for Persons with Limited English Proficiency. The City of Dallas is also working to assure compliance with Executive Order 13988, Preventing and Combating Discrimination on the Basis of Gender Identity or Sexual Orientation.

City of Dallas Title VI Coordinator​​

Any person, group of persons, or their authorized representative may file a discrimination complaint if they believe city services, activities or programs were withheld or denied on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, disability, or income. 

Complaints may be filed by mail, fax, or in-person at the City of Dallas Office of Equity & Inclusion, 1500 Marilla Street, Room 1BN, Dallas, Texas 75201; Fax: (214) 670-0665 or by calling 1-877-860-1061. Spanish translation is available. 

The Title VI Coordinator will address all complaints and provide a written response within ten (10) days of the close of their investigation.
