Background
In October 2022, the City of Dallas implemented new zoning regulations for Planned Development District No. 67 (PD67) in the Elm Thicket-Northpark neighborhood. These regulations were intended to preserve the historic character of the area and prevent displacement. However, due to an oversight in the permitting process, some construction permits were issued using outdated zoning information.
To correct these errors, the City has issued Stop Work Orders for affected projects and is working diligently to bring all projects into compliance with the current zoning regulations. We are committed to resolving these issues as quickly and fairly as possible, while keeping the public informed of our progress.

We encourage all contractors, developers, and community members to check this page regularly for the latest updates. The City is dedicated to transparency and will continue to provide timely information as we work through these challenges.
