Good Luck Gas Station
903 Cadiz Street
The 1939 Art Deco Good Luck gas station was one in a chain of GLOCO gas stations belonging to the Good Luck Oil Company. This company was one of the early local oil companies in Dallas, and was one of the first to sell gasoline made from East Texas oil. This particular site was GLOCO Station #5. The owner's stylistic choice was influenced by a visit to the Texas Centennial at Fair Park in 1936. The building features a 35 foot stepped tower, contasting stucco masonry with black ceramic tile, and distinctive neon lighting. It also represents one of the few remaining examples of Dallas' Art Deco heritage.
Ordinance #21340
Designations: Dallas Landmark (1992)
