Structures located within the boundaries of a Dallas Landmark District or individually listed as a Dallas Landmark are protected by ordinances specifically written for that district or structure. Demolition Delay Overlay
The Demolition Delay Ordinance provides that a building that meets certain criteria within a demolition overlay district would be subject to a 45-day delay before a demolition permit could be granted.
