Far North Dallas Street and Lane Closures
Year long street and lane closures will start on January 25, 2024. Hillcrest Road will be completely closed from Wester Way (south end) to McCallum Blvd (north end).
Coit Road will be reduced to 4 lanes (2 northbound and 2 southbound) from McCallum Blvd (south end) to Frankford Road (north end).
Please use alternate routes and drive carefully specially in residental streets.

Marni Kaner Trail
** It is official! The Park & Recreation Board approved the name change from the Preston Ridge Trail Extension to the Marni Kaner Trail!! The trail was officially renamed to the Marni Kaner Trail on March 4, 2023!
**Update** RISD has gathered over 2000 signatures for the renaming of the trail! Thank you to all the volunteers for all their help and support! The petitions and required memo have been sent to the Parks and Rec board for final approval and vote.
Richardson ISD PTA Board are sponsoring a petition to rename the current Preston Ridge Trail Extension to the Marni Kaner Trail.
The Preston Ridge Trail Extension runs from Meandering Way in between Holyoke Drive to the north and Arbor Oaks Drive in the south. The trail ends to the east of the Davenport Road and Brentfield Drive intersection.

Remember the Four Ds with Mosquiddddos:
DRAIN: Drain or treat all standing water in and around your home or workplace. Standing water can be found in swimming pools that are not kept clean, ponds, pet watering dishes, birdbaths, potted plants, old tires, empty containers, toys and clogged rain gutters.
DUSK/DAWN: Limit outdoor activities during dusk and dawn when mosquitoes are most active.
DRESS: Wear long, loose, and light-colored clothing outside.
DEET All Day, Every Day: Whenever you're outside, use insect repellents that contain DEET or other EPA approved repellents and follow instructions.
