Scope and Content

Collection contains two documents about a proposed Dallas Police Department raise in 2000.

In 2000, representatives from Dallas Police Association, the Dallas Patrolman's Union, the Texas Peace Officers Association, the Latino Peace Officers Association met with Assistant City Manager Charles Daniels to work out a pay-raise plan for the Police Department.  This group agreed to a thirteen-percent raise.

The Dallas City Council approved only a twelve-percent pay raise.  This collection contains a press release and a mailer from the response of the Dallas Police Association on the lower-percentage raise.
