Scope and Content
The collection consists of Dallas Administrative Directive no. 3-49 outlining the cities drug and alcohol awareness program.
To comply with the requirements of the Federal Drug Free Workplace Act of 1988, the City of Dallas implemented a drug and alcohol awareness program. This program allowed for the testing of applicants and employees, provided supervisors the training to recognize employees under the influence of drugs and alcohol, and established counseling and assistance resources for employees in need (CARE).
The collection contains a copy of a CARE Services brochure.
