Scope and Content
Collection contains the report provided by the Stanford Research Institute on the facility spaces used in Dallas by performing arts organizations.
The objectives of the study were to determine the facility needs for performing arts events in the City of Dallas and to identify the most appropriate
location for potential, new performing arts facilities. This report is intended to serve as a background paper both for additional research and for
discussions about future investments in the performing arts. Specific spaces addressed include the Music Hall at Fair Park, Theatre Three,
the Kalita Humphreys Theater, and the Dallas Summer Stage (bandshell) at Fair Park. The report assesses the types of facilities, estimated incomes
and expenses, attendance, local financial support, and the different types of uses for the venues.
The projections in the report were for a maximum of twenty years using dollar estimates based on the 1972 currency values.
